Grom Patrol Update: Due to the Upcoming Independence Day Weekend, Grom Patrol Week Four has been Cancelled – Final Grom Patrol Weekend will be 21-23 August

11 August, 2020 – Kuta, Bali: Due to numerous other events and activities centered around Indonesia’s Independence Day holiday weekend coming up, the decision was made to cancel the 4^th Grom Patrol weekend and have the Grand Final as planned on the 21^st-23^rd of August, but with something extra special for the groms that join in.

For the final camp of 2020, in addition to all the usual great times and valuable skills learned at Kosta Hostel Berawa and with the BESC (Bali Elite Surf Coaching) crew, the added bonus is that each grom that joins the camp will be given a selection of their best photos plus their own video highlight reel to show off to all their friends at the end of the camp!

And as contestants in the Comp, they also have a chance to win one of the great prizes provided by Grom Patrol sponsors such as surfboards from Chilli, Warner, PSI and Dahlberg surfboards, surf gear from Billabong, Dakine, Rip Curl, Roxy, Quiksilver and Vissla, meal vouchers from Single Fin, The Lawn, Made’s Warung, and La Baraca, sunscreen from SunZapper, and heaps more goodies, in addition to other prizes in special award categories.

Remember, there will be least 5 final contestants in each division, so even though others have already won spots there are still chances open in the Grand Final! Winners will also receive a selection of their best digital photos, a video highlight reel, and a special Grom Patrol CV with their performance listed.

The Grand Final schedule will be slightly different from the previous weekends, with a Friday afternoon check-in at Kosta Hostel Berawa at 13:00, and then the afternoon will be spent on Water Safety Instruction, a beach walk, dinner, and then Movie Night.

On Saturday it will be business as usual with the group heading to the beach for video and surf training from 7:30 until 15:15, then back to Kosta Hostel Berawa for video analysis with BESC, dinner and movies til bedtime.

For Sunday morning, it’s back to the beach from 8:00 until 13:00, then a return to Kosta Hostel Berawa for lunch, video review and selection, and judging for the Grand Final winners. Finally, the the Presentation Party will run from 18:00 until 20:00 to celebrate with everyone.

It’s sure to be an exciting conclusion to the second annual Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol season, so please come down to the beach to support the groms and cheer them on!
