The Dongsha Open of Surfing 2025 returns as Stop #2 of the 2025-26 Asian ProAm Surf Series (APSS), organized by the Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) and City Surfer Surf Club. The event will be held on October 17–19 at Dongsha Beach, Zhoushan, China, just a 4-hour drive from Shanghai.
In addition to international competitions in the Men’s & Women’s Shortboard and Longboard divisions, offering both prize money and APSS points, the event will feature live music and DJs, street dance performances, and a vibrant beach market with food and local products.
Last year, the event attracted 48 surfers from South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and across China, and with China’s relaxed immigration policies, even more competitors are expected to join this year.
The Dongsha Open of Surfing offers equal prize money across all divisions and welcomes surfers of all levels who want to progress in a professional yet relaxed competition setting, while also discovering a new destination and culture.
