21 March 2024, Bali, Indonesia: The Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC) is excited to announce the return of the much anticipated Cosmic Experience Longboard SUP (Stand Up Paddle) competition, which will take place from March 29 to April 2 in the waters off Sanur Beach in Bali. This event signifies the second time the event has run in Bali, further contributing to the overall success of the Cosmic Experience Longboard SUP series that was started in 2019.

After producing the highly successfully debut of the Cosmic Experience Longboard SUP competition in Bali last year, the organizers of the 2024 edition promise an even more unforgettable experience for both athletes and spectators alike with more competition days offering increased opportunities for entertainment and engagement. This year’s event is certain to elevate and showcase the sport to the international audience from the surfing paradise of Bali.

Among the many talented athletes set to compete in the event is Maui, Hawaii’s Zane Kekoa Schweitzer, the reigning champion of the Men’s Division from last year’s competition. Joining Schweitzer is the renowned Iballa Moreno from Spain, Trevor Tunnington and Dimity Faulkner from Australia, and Richard Wain, the over 60’s World champion. These athletes along with the other contestants will no doubt display an exhilarating showcase of SUP surfing prowess, inspiring spectators and participants alike.  At this time there are more than 80 competitors signed up in Men’s Elite, Women’s Elite, Men’s Weekend Warriors, Women’s Weekend Warriors, and Over 60 divisions over the 5-day event.

In a world where longboard SUP events are infrequent and underexposed, the Bali Cosmic Experience Stand Up Paddle event stands out as a beacon of dedication to expanding and supporting the SUP community worldwide. The ASC is excited to play a part in raising the awareness of the Longboard SUP surfing, collaborating closely with top athletes and industry figures to promote this thrilling sport within the global SUP community.

Basecamp for the event will again be the Rip Curl School of Surf, located in Sanur, Bali, who is partnering with the Longboard SUP Revolution to organize and host the event.
