22 October 2024, Kuta-Bali:  Due to Typhoon Krathon, which touched down in Southern Taiwan on October 3rd, the day before the competition was originally scheduled to begin, the 2024 Pingtung Manzhou Jialeshuei International Surfing Competition had to be postponed, and has now been re-scheduled for 1-3 November.

This annual competition is one of the most anticipated surfing events of the year, offering a range of disciplines in both Pro and Amateur divisions with lots of prize money on offer, so it’s a great opportunity to visit Pingtung County, surf, eat, and meet up with friends for a long weekend of fun!

The Men’s and Women’s ASC International Pro Longboard Divisions offer the highest prize money along with the Under 18 Junior Shortboard Division.

Other divisions include Men’s and Women’s Longboard, Men’s and Women’s Shortboard, Under 12 Shortboard, Men’s and Women’s SUP, Men’s and Women’s Bodyboard, and Master’s Longboard

Competitors are welcome to register for multiple categories based on their gender and age, but each category must involve a different type of board (e.g., Longboard, Shortboard, SUP, etc.).

The closest international airport is in Kaoshiung, which only requires an easy 2 hour drive to Jaileshuei, and there are available accommodations within walking distance of the competition site.
